This attack was a very scary nightmare for those who worked or where visiting the World Trade Center that day, September 11, 2001. Unfortunately hundreds of people died that day but there were several survivors that made it out too! Some of these people include Sujo John, Lauren Manning, Jay Jonas, Pasquale Buzzelli, Nicole B. Simpson, Lee Lepli, and Ron DiFrancesco. Sujo John, was working on the 81st floor of the world trade center when the building was hit. Although , according to the Huffington post, he was able to get to get to the stairs safely, his mind remained on his pregnant wife who worked in the second tower. John thought he would die because the building was swaying and he could feel the building to the left. John was relieved when he found out that his wife had arrived at work just after it was hit by the second plane, and was never allowed in the building. However when the second tower collapsed it buried John under a pile of debris while his wife could just watch because she was pregnant. Some how he found the strength to burst through the rubble, and he was the only one of his cohort to survive the blast. To Lauren Manning, eighty-two percent of Lauren Manning's body was burned on 9/11. She was headed to her job on the 106th floor of the North tower but she only got as far as the lobby when the elevator exploded and set her on fire. She wanted to die but she though about her son, she knew she couldn't die yet so she walked until a man ripped off his jacket to smother the flames that were burning her. Again, Manning was one of the few people to survive. The stories could keep on going on and on but the important thing is that there were some people who survived this tragical event.
